Job Description :-

As an Amazon intern, you will be interacting with your peers and Amazon’s global team of full-time professionals as part of our Systems Development team. You will manage your own set of deliverables, working at the forefront of Amazon’s Cloud and Retail businesses in a variety of functional areas (problem solving, troubleshooting, handling operational events as well as requirements gathering, design, programming, testing, documentation, etc.). You will benefit from the opportunity to attend our popular technical architecture meetings, asking lots of questions and learning as you go. You’ll have lots of fun and maybe even make history!

Basic Qualifications:-
· Good working knowledge of Linux and operating systems fundamentals.
· Talent in problem solving and Linux based system troubleshooting.
· Basic understanding of computer networks and relevant terminology.
· Good object-oriented design knowledge.
· Good coding skills, preferably in Java, Python and/or C/C++.
· Competent in at least one functional scripting language e.g. Perl or Shell.
· Familiarity with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, relational databases and optimization.
· Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.
· Adept at handling ambiguous or vaguely defined challenges through abstract thinking.
· Must be a good communicator and be customer focused.

Preferred Qualifications:-
· Be highly innovative, flexible and self-directed.
· Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
· Deep experience integrating software solutions, automating manual processes and/or building portals or internal tools.
· Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through launch and operations of the project.
· Strong understanding of system and application performance characteristics.
· DevOps evangelist and zealot.
